Get Involved!

WBC has many ministry areas within which you can put to use, your God-given talents. If you feel a calling to get involved, check out the ministry teams below and contact the person listed for each team.

Childrens Ministry - Joe Morris

For those with a heart for children, opportunities abound for your service through Sunday School, Children's Church, AWANA, Children's Choir and other events throughout the year.

Nursery Ministry - Sharon Morris

Helping ensure our infants and toddlers are well cared for in a safe and loving environment is the mission of our nursery ministry.  You can find a place of service with our precious little ones by volunteering during Worship Service playing with our toddlers or rocking our bed babies.

Youth Ministry - Dennis Doty

If you are young, or young-at-heart, and desire to see our young people grow in the grace and knowledge of the Lord, you can find a place to serve with the Youth Ministries: Drama, Music, Youth Community Outreach, Fun and Recreation, Youth Camps and Ski Trips and the annual Graduating Youth Reception.

Young Adult Ministry - Chris Pace

Women's Ministry

Join the exciting women of WBC in planning the annual Ladies' Retreat, Ladies' Luncheon, annual Christmas Party, hosting coffees, ministry projects, and just having fun during game night!  You will have a great time with the women of WBC.

Senior-Adult Ministry

Our Senior Adult Ministry Team and our energetic seniors have a great time in the Lord and you can serve right along with them in planning and hosting the monthly luncheons, organizing games and recreation, and helping with ministry projects such as the annual Thanksgiving meal for shut-ins.

Evangelism Ministry

Evangelism is one of the five purposes of the church as recorded in the book of Acts and is an area of major emphasis at WBC.  You have a number of opportunities to serve by leading or participating in witness training, revival emphasis, visitor and prospect visitation, and other evangelism projects.  If outreach is where your heart is, we have a place for you!

Facilities Ministry

A great place to put your skills to to work is the stewardship of our facilities in areas of maintenance, computers and technology, sound, landscaping, set-up and take-down, and other areas where you see a need or have interest serving.

Member Services Ministry

At WBC there are a number of opportunities to minister to our members as well as prospective members.  You can help with the annual scholarship selection process, assist with blood drives, get the word out about WBC to our community through publicity efforts, or be an usher and greeter seeing that all who come through our doors feel welcome.  If sports and recreation are your thing, you can help plan activities for having fun together.  We also have a great church library and those interested in the history of WBC can find a place of service in honoring and preserving the great heritage of this church.

Hospitality and Food Services

Fellowship is another of the five purposes of the church.  If you like events, decorating, food or services, have we got a place for you to share your gifts and talents!!  Come, help us with fellowships, Sunday morning coffee, Wednesday night suppers, luncheons, banquets, funeral meals or other special events.

Praise and Worship - John Isom

Join our church staff in leading our praise and worship services on Sundays and at other special times.  The adult choir has a place ready just for you!  If you play the piano or other musical instruments, your talents are needed and we want to hear from you! If you like small-group singing, there is the Praise Team or Ladies of Praise, or what about the Men's Quartet?  What about video-projection?  PowerPoint skills?  Other technology skills that could enhance our worship experiences together?

Mike Eden Ministries - Mike Eden

It is the goal of this organization, to build a compound that will give the orphans of Kinangop, Kenya, Africa a spiritual and physical home.  The good news is that it is finally finished and now houses over 25 children!! This compound is led by a Christian pastor to feed the spiritual needs of the children.  Also included, is a medical clinic, primary school and a working farm.  These additional facilities will allow the orphanage to be self-sufficient and will provide for the children's educational, health and physical needs.
