Who We Are

  WBC PURPOSE STATEMENT

“Our purpose is to build relationships that last forever by a great commitment to the Great Commandment and the Great Commission that will grow a Great Church!”

Our Purpose is realized through five objectives:

1. Worship
- Celebrating God's Presence
2.
Evangelism
- Communicating God's Word
3.
Fellowship
- Incorporating God's Family
4.
Discipleship - Educating God's People
5. Ministry/Missions-Demonstrating God's Love

WORSHIP We provide the opportunity for people of all ages to genuinely show their love to God through worship. We use a blended style of worship, using the best of traditional and praise and worship approaches. Children have a worship time on their level as part of the Sunday morning service. We offer a children's choir program as well as a youth music and drama team. The WBC Adult Choir sings weekly and has special presentations at Easter and Christmas.

EVANGELISM The process of evangelism takes place through the lives of those who are members of WBC. It happens in our Sunday School, Vacation Bible School , at Youth Camps and Retreats. It also happens in Revival meetings and through our Spanish Mission work. It happens through our support of state, national and international missions and in many other ways. WBC provides training in evangelism.

DISCIPLESHIP We provide information on the new Christian life to everyone who receives Jesus as their Savior and Lord. Our pastor preaches Biblically-based messages for the purpose of spiritual growth. WBC has a fully-graded Sunday School program providing small group Bible studies for all ages. Vacation Bible School , youth retreats and other kinds of Bible groups also have a focus on discipleship and training.

FELLOWSHIP Fellowship can be seen in the first part of our purpose statement, which says: “Building relationships that last forever...”. The primary avenues of fellowship are our Sunday School, Bible study groups, church-wide picnics, fellowships in homes and other activities in which we share together.

MINISTRY/MISSIONS We exist to demonstrate God's love by meeting needs in Jesus' name. We participate with Waller Assistance and Restoration Ministry (W.A.R.M.) to help needy families. We have a Homebound Ministry and Care Groups within our Sunday School classes. Our Deacon Body coordinates our benevolence program. We are always seeking people with special needs to whom we can ministry.
